The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more rain today in several districts of the state. Thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds and lightning are also expected.

Which Districts in Gujarat Will Receive Heavy Rain Today?

As per the latest weather report, the IMD has predicted heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms in the following 10 districts of Gujarat:

  • Gir Somnath
  • Amreli
  • Bharuch
  • Bhavnagar
  • Anand
  • Mahisagar
  • Aravalli
  • Sabarkantha

Scattered places in these districts may experience intense showers with lightning and wind speeds reaching up to 50–60 km/h.

Between May 9 and May 12, 2025, most parts of Gujarat are expected to receive light to moderate unseasonal rainfall. The IMD has also issued a light to moderate thunderstorm warning across the state from May 9 to May 11.
