Relative to the tiny size of its student population, Caltech has an impressive number of successful graduates and affiliates, including 39 Nobel laureates, six Turing Award winners and four Fields Medallists.
There are approximately 2,000 students at Caltech, and the primary campus in Pasadena, near Los Angeles, covers 124 acres. Almost all undergraduates live on campus.
Across the six faculties there is a focus on science and engineering.
DETAILS OF 2021 INTERNATIONAL LETTER WRITING COMPETION FOR YOUNG
PEOPLE
1. Subject : “Write a letter to a family member about your experience with COVID-19”.
2. Participants eligibility : Children up to 15 years of age as on 31.3.2021
3. Content and form : Composition must be presented in the form of letter.
4. Date/Time of Competition : Competition at Venue - Will be decided by the Concerned Circles
5. Language : English or any language listed in the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India.
Prizes (at Circle level)
a. First Prize: Rs.25,000/- and a certificate
b. Second Prize: Rs.10,000/- and a certificate
c. Third Prize: Rs. 5,000/- and a certificate
Prizes (at National level):
a. First Prize: Rs. 50,000/- and a Certificate.
b. Second Prize: Rs. 25,000/- and a Certificate.
c. Third Prize: Rs. 10,000/- and a Certificate.

The best entry at the national level will qualify as the official Indian entry for the international level competition, the Universal Postal Union Award winning entries will be selected. Will be the winner
A special medal (gold for the first prize, silver for the second, and bronze for the third) and other certificates for receiving their winner (other such awards as determined by the UPU). The Gold Medal winner may choose to visit the UPU Headquarters in Bern, Switzerland, or an optional award at the discretion of the UPU. Honorary authors with special mention will receive a certificate as well as other awards (other awards determined by the UPU).
