Indira Awas Yojana
The original former centrally sponsored RLE was set up with the aim of improving the living standards and housing facilities of the target group living in rural areas and living below the poverty line. G.P. Under and dt. This program was going on from 1-9-18 under Jawahar Rozgar Yojana as its important sub-scheme.
J Ta. Implemented as an independent scheme from 1-1-3 and in addition to providing new housing benefits under this scheme, provision has also been made by the Central Government from 18-2000 to provide 50% of the funds for the benefit of improvement and upgradation of raw existing houses.
The program is center-sponsored. In which the share of Central and State Government is 50-60. Under this scheme, 2% of the total available funds at the first national level was earmarked for Indira Awas Yojana.
12-9 to 10% provision has been made. From 1-1-7, the Central Government has declared it as an independent scheme and from the year 18-2000, this scheme is being implemented in two components by allocating provision for improvement of new existing houses as well as improvement of raw existing houses.

The Central Government has decided to do this from 1/4/18 on the basis of 3% reduction in housing and 2% on the basis of the number of people below the poverty line.
Purpose - To provide financial assistance to homeless people living below the poverty line in rural areas as well as those with raw housing to help in the construction of new housing as well as housing improvement.
Key points of the plan
The Indira Awas Yojana was running as a sub-scheme of the 13th Jawahar Rozgar Yojana. From 1st January 19, Indira Awas Yojana was separated from Jawahar Rozgar Yojana and turned into an independent scheme.
The housing unit assistance is fixed by the Central Government.
The financial share of the Government of India and the State Government in the Indira Awas Yojana is in the ratio of 30:40.
In Indira Awas Yojana, Ta. From 1/4/2018, the Government of India has increased the unit assistance for construction of gate housing to Rs. 50,000 / - assistance standard has been fixed. In which Rs. 5,000 / - as per 60% of Central Government and Rs. 8000 / - assistance standard has been fixed. Similarly, the standard of assistance for raising the standard of houses which cannot be repaired has been fixed by the Central Government at Rs. 15,000 / -.
The construction of the accommodation is done by the beneficiary himself. Not to be done by a departmental monopolist. A permanent waiting list of beneficiaries living below the poverty line is to be compiled on the basis of social and economic survey-2000 from the year 2006. This list is to be restored in the Gram Sabha.
It has been decided by the resolution of the Panchayat Rural Housing and Rural Development Department dated 05 / O6 / 2018 to give the benefit of this scheme to the eligible beneficiaries in the coefficient of 15 to 20 from the year 2017-18. Beneficiaries who get a free government plot of 100 square feet are given the benefit of accommodation under this scheme as well as the benefit of accommodation in private land / plot owned by the beneficiary. Housing with a plinth of at least 50 square meters can be built. No specific type of housing design has been determined. Housing design has to be decided keeping in view the local climate, geographical situation of the area as well as the interests, practices etc. of the local people. Toilet facilities in accommodation should be mandatory. As far as possible the dwellings have to be constructed keeping in view the approach of small settlement in the group so that the houses built in the group can get structural facilities like road, water, light etc. on a collective basis. 50% of the fund is earmarked for housing improvement. Beneficiaries of this scheme are paid housing assistance through bank / post office at different stages of housing construction in three installments. The details of which are as follows.
First installment Rs.12,500 / - (with administrative sanction order)
Second Installment Rs. 5,000 / - (After construction reaches lintel level and completion of toilet construction)
Third Installment Rs. 10,200 / - (After completion of construction of housing and when the beneficiary starts living in the house)
Beneficiaries of Indira Awas Yojana below poverty line are eligible to get Rs. 15,000 / - assistance for toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) from 05/08/2018 In which the contribution of Central Government is 50 per cent at Rs.500 / - and the contribution of State Government is 50 per cent at Rs.500 / -.
Priority is given to allotment of Indira Awas Yojana houses in the name of women. The option is allocated in the joint name of the husband and wife
The order of selection in this scheme is as follows.
Priority should be given to the families of re-handled scavengers and rehabilitated bonded laborers. Then prioritize as follows.
Widows, divorced or abandoned women, women who have been victims of atrocities, and women whose husbands have been missing for at least three years and women who have been placed in difficult circumstances as the head of the family.
Mentally handicapped persons (with at least 50% disability) Physically handicapped persons (with at least 50% disability) Eunuchs
The widows and close relatives of members of the defense / paramilitary / police force killed in the war (even though they are not below the poverty line) are other homeless BPL members. Families
